2024 Japan International Daily Necessities Exhibition Scene: Yingteji’s Booth Becomes a Focus in the Slipper Segment
As an industry leader specializing in slipper R&D and production for 21 years, Yangzhou Yingteji Trading Co., Ltd made a grand appearance at the 2024 Japan International Daily Necessities Exhibition—a strategic move to deepen its foothold in the East Asian market. The exhibition brought together over 220 core daily necessities suppliers and more than 3,500 professional buyers from across the globe. With its diverse slipper portfolio and transparent quality demonstration, Yingteji’s booth emerged as one of the most high-profile destinations in the slipper segment.
Stepping into Yingteji’s booth, the prominent "Yangzhou Yingteji Trading Co., Ltd" logo at the top immediately draws attention. The minimalist white exhibition walls, complemented by soft ambient lighting, not only accentuate the product texture but also align with the understated aesthetic favored by the Japanese market. Beyond displaying dozens of slipper samples, the booth walls feature posters showcasing the company’s production capabilities—including images of the 46,000-square-foot workshop in operation and the layout of 160 professional sewing machines. On the exhibition shelves, home cotton slippers, summer mesh slippers, portable foldable slippers, and other categories are neatly arranged, with products of varying materials and designs catering to home use, travel, and year-round needs. The negotiation area at the center of the booth is equipped with brochures, sample books, and refreshments. Staff dressed in neat uniforms warmly receive every visiting buyer, fostering a relaxed communication atmosphere that encourages customers to explore product details. Many Japanese buyers picked up the slippers to feel the fabric and try them on, expressing strong interest in the upper splicing craftsmanship and non-slip sole design. Several customers even requested samples of quality inspection reports on the spot. After testing a pair of home slippers, one buyer commented: "The sole of this home slipper is very soft to the touch, and the support it provides is just right—perfect for the customer base of our stores."
Diverse Product Matrix: Adapting to Global Market Needs with Scenario-Driven Design
Full-Scenario Coverage to Precisely Match Core Demands of Different Consumption Scenarios
At this exhibition, Yingteji’s product matrix fully reflected its market-oriented design philosophy. Targeting the prevalent wooden floor environments in Japanese households, the displayed home slippers are crafted from skin-friendly and breathable combed cotton, with soles upgraded to high-density mute non-slip material—not only eliminating noise during use but also boosting the non-slip coefficient to 1.2 times the industry standard. For travel and business trip scenarios, the portable foldable slippers, which are only one-third the size of regular slippers, come with independent sealed storage bags, balancing hygiene and portability. The four-season universal model features a detachable double-layer fabric design, enabling breathability in summer and warmth in winter without the need for frequent replacements.
In addition to basic functional models, the exhibition also premiered Yingteji’s newly launched 2024 degradable eco-friendly slippers. The fabric and soles are made of fully degradable materials, with two options for the filling sponge: degradable bio-based sponge and regular sponge, catering to different customer preferences. This design directly addresses the high demand for eco-friendly products in Japan, Europe, and the United States. Meanwhile, three customized models integrated with Japanese aesthetic elements adopt low-saturation colors such as light pink and light blue, paired with minimalist cherry blossom embroidery patterns, perfectly aligning with the aesthetic tastes of Japanese consumers. These products not only attracted local Japanese home retail buyers but also showcased Yingteji’s customization capabilities to customers from South Korea and Southeast Asia. A South Korean buyer consulted on the "material adjustment plan for slippers suitable for Korean underfloor heating environments" and expressed a desire to receive samples for testing afterward.
Quality Visualization: Transforming "Quality First" into Perceivable Trust
The posters and brochures on the booth walls serve as a tangible manifestation of Yingteji’s "Quality Comes First" philosophy. The posters clearly outline the company’s "process-traceable system": every batch of products, from fabric warehousing to finished product delivery, records the operation time and responsible personnel for each link—even a stitch error on a single pair of slippers can be accurately traced to a specific workstation. On-site staff also presented customers with product inspection reports, including test data for 12 indicators such as formaldehyde content, wear resistance, and antibacterial performance, all of which comply with Japan’s JIS Daily Necessities Safety Standards.
"We have collaborated with many suppliers, but few are willing to display their production processes so transparently," admitted a purchasing manager from a Japanese home chain brand. "Yingteji’s traceable system and actual test data give us greater confidence in the quality of their products." By showcasing workshop production scenes and disclosing test data, Yingteji transforms "invisible quality control" into tangible evidence, enabling buyers to build trust more intuitively and efficiently. Some customers even brought their own competing product samples to compare fabric thickness and stitch density with Yingteji’s slippers, ultimately recognizing Yingteji’s superior craftsmanship standards.
Exhibition Achievements: Taking the Exhibition as a Bridge to Deepen Global Market Cooperation
For Yingteji, this exhibition was not only a platform to showcase its products but also a success in achieving the core goal of "precisely connecting with target customers." Over the three-day event, the booth received a total of 92 groups of international buyers, with Japanese buyers accounting for 65%. More than 45 groups of customers reached initial cooperation intentions on the spot.
Targeting the 2024 Japanese summer consumption peak season, two Tokyo-based home chain brands proposed a bulk purchase plan for 600,000 pairs of mesh slippers and agreed to conduct an on-site inspection of Yangzhou’s factory within five days after the exhibition. Three hotel supplies suppliers consulted on customized packaging solutions for hotel slippers, hoping to print hotel logos on the packaging and add eco-friendly material labels. Additionally, a Japanese design studio proposed annual co-branded product development cooperation, planning to launch limited-edition slippers inspired by Japanese four-season culture.
For Yingteji, this exhibition represented a concentrated display of 21 years of industry experience—from 150 skilled workers in the 46,000-square-foot workshop to an annual production capacity of 30 million pairs supported by 160 machines; from the market insights of the professional design team to the traceable production process. These details collectively form the competitiveness of "Yingteji Manufacturing." The cooperation intentions secured at the exhibition have laid a solid foundation for the company’s East Asian market expansion in the second half of 2024.
